The Starke County Planning Commission held two public hearings yesterday, Wednesday February 11th.
The public hearings were both in regards to resolutions, recommending ordinances that would extend moratoriums for both Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Commercial Solar Energy Systems (CSES).
The recommended ordinances, if adopted, would extend both moratoriums through July 25th of this year.
There were no public comments made at the meeting for either resolution, which both passed unanimously, with one board member absent.
The resolutions recommending the adoption of these two ordinances will now go before the Starke County Commissioners.
