The National Weather Service has declared a hazardous weather outlook for Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, and La Porte Counties, along with several other counties in northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio.
The announcement was updated at 9:56am Eastern Time today, Wednesday March 4th, and it states that isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening, especially south of US Route 24.
Additionally, fog is expected to develop tonight into early Thursday morning, potentially becoming quite dense.
The hazardous weather outlook states that several rounds of rain and an isolated thunderstorm are expected over the next several days, noting that while much of the rain will be absorbed into the ground, rivers may respond as soils become saturated by the weekend. There are a few strong storms possible Friday night that could produce wind gusts above 40 mph and hail between a half-inch and one inch in diameter.
