The City of La Porte’s Park and Recreation Department has announced an Indiana Boater Education course to take place this upcoming Sunday, March 8th.
The course will take place at the La Porte Yacht Club, which is located at 812 Pine Lake Avenue in La Porte.
The course will be instructed by Indiana Conservation Officers, and will go over things like vessel basics, navigation rules, nighttime navigation, emergencies, personal watercraft or PWCs, boating laws and regulations, and the required equipment for boating.
The course is sponsored by the La Porte Lake Association and will take place from 9am to 5pm this Sunday. Pre-registration is required and can be done online at register-ed.com.
