National Weather Service issues High Wind Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch in the area that will be in effect until 7pm Central Time tomorrow, March 13th.

The areas affected by this watch include Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, and La Porte Counties as well as several other surrounding counties in the area.

The announcement states that winds will be coming in from the southwest-west of 25 to 35mph with gusts of up to 60 mph possible, throughout portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio.

The watch says that damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible, and travel could be difficult especially for high profile vehicles.
