
The Starke County Maintenance Department is seeking a part-time maintenance and custodian.
The opening is a part-time role requiring three days a week, with scheduling flexibility.
Duties include but are not limited to cleaning and maintaining floors, windows, fixtures, stairs, restrooms, and the door and kitchen area. The role is responsible for changing light bulbs, taking out trash, moving furniture, and painting when necessary.
The position also requires mowing grass, trimming bushes, raking, edging, planting, replanting flowers, or any other type of lawn work that is necessary. During the winter, duties include snow removal and keeping sidewalks clear for safety.
Applicants must be 18 years or older, able to pass a drug test and background check, and have the ability to work cooperatively with other employees. Successful applicants will have the physical ability to perform all tasks required in the performance of custodial duties including but not limited to bending and stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, working at heights, etc.
Applicants should have the ability to work in outside weather when necessary, and have the ability to follow directions and perform work duties with limited supervision.
