STARKE COUNTY – The Hive, a local women’s giving circle started through the Starke County Community Foundation, is accepting video grant applications now through Monday, April 20, 2026, and can be submitted online at www.nicf.org/2026-hive-grant-application.
Video applications provide organizations with the opportunity to share their story in a personal and creative way that highlights their passion, people, and impactful projects. Videos can be recorded on any device and do not require professional editing. Budget forms must also be submitted through a grant portal.
Grants typically range from $500 to $2,000.
SCCF Director of Development Jacque Ryan shared, “This is intended to be a simple and fun process that does not require professional equipment or expert editing. It gives grantees a chance to show off their organization, project, or program in a dynamic way.”
Grant recipients will be selected by Hive members during the group’s Annual Gathering on Wednesday, May 20.
Since its founding in 2018, the Hive has awarded over $57,000 to local charitable organizations through a combination of membership contributions and an endowed fund that will support Starke County forever.
Annual membership dues for women 23 and up is $120 while members 16 – 22 can pay a reduced amount of $60 a year.
“I hope all local ladies with ties to Starke County will consider joining the Hive!” Director Ryan noted. “It’s so important for members to get their dues in as early as possible because they are used for the grants awarded during the Hive Social Gathering.”
