Winamac Town Council to meet tonight March 9

The Winamac Town Council will be holding a regular meeting including public hearings this evening, Monday March 9th.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6pm Eastern Time and will be at Winamac Utilities Complex, which is located at 623 West 11th Street.

After the meeting is called to order and the pledge is recited, there will be a public hearing for Additional Appropriations.

Following will be a section for public input, followed by the first public hearing for an application for a Community Development Block Grant Wastewater Program, provided through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

The next item on the agenda is public input including a Community Priority Statement & Wastewater Resolution.

The next part of the meeting will be dedicated to administrative matters, including the approval of minutes from 3 meetings, payroll and voucher claims, and superintendents’ reports.

During the Clerk-Treasurer’s report, several items will be discussed, including the approval of fire contracts with Franklin and Rich Grove Townships; a Water and Wastewater adjustment, the 2025 annual financial report, a debt management report, and two ordinances; one authorizing additional appropriations and one in regards to salaries.

Under Old Business, the council will discuss fire truck donations.

With nothing listed under the New Business section of the agenda, the meeting will be adjourned.
