Area schools recognized by Indiana Department of Education

The Indiana Department of Education recently recognized over 400 schools across the state for achieving a high score on reading evaluations.

At the Literacy Achievement Celebration, which took place at the Indiana Statehouse this past Wednesday, April 8th, the Department of Education celebrated schools whose students achieved a 95% or higher passing rate on the 2025 Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination, or IREAD assessment.

Schools in the area that were recognized for scores of 95% or better include:

Kingsbury Elementary School
Kingsford Heights Elementary School
Oregon-Davis Elementary School
Rolling Prairie Elementary School, Saint John Lutheran School, and South Central Elementary School.
