Pulaski County is gearing up for America 250, and residents who are interested in the celebrations are invited to attend the Pulaski County America 250 Committee meeting tonight.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6pm Eastern Time at the Pulaski County Historical Society’s Cultural Center, which is located at 110 North Monticello street in Winamac.
The meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the events planned for the 250th anniversary of America, and to get involved in shaping those celebrations.
The meeting will provide updates on the ongoing “250 in 250” campaign, including the upcoming milestone of the club’s 200th mile, which will be celebrated May 15th.
There are several open volunteer roles, including youth volunteers for Liberty Tree Ambassadors and the 2026 Time Capsule Guardians.
Organizers at the meeting will also discuss sponsorship opportunities, including needs for youth t-shirts, local picnics, and the dedication ceremony for the Time Capsule Marker. There will also be updates on local collaborations with other area festivals.
The Committee is looking for more community involvement and support as the festivities approach, and this meeting is the opportunity to become involved.
