Pulaski Memorial Hospital is seeking to fill an open seat on its Board of Trustees, the governing body responsible for overseeing the hospital’s mission, financial stewardship, and delivery of healthcare services in the area.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for making policy decisions aligned with the hospital’s mission, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, and providing oversight of budgeting and long-term strategic planning. The Board also plays a role in credentialing medical staff and establishing clinical privileges.
Trustees serve four-year terms and may serve up to three consecutive terms. The Board meets monthly with hospital leadership, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Patient Administration. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., with no meetings scheduled in July or December. Members should expect to dedicate approximately four to six hours per month to board duties.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in rural healthcare and a commitment to representing the needs of a diverse community. Trustees should also be comfortable reviewing and understanding financial statements and budgets, as they play a key role in guiding the hospital’s fiscal and strategic direction. Members must be prepared to fulfill fiduciary and governance responsibilities and comply with applicable state and federal requirements, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Interested individuals should contact Laura Doty, Executive Assistant to the CEO and President, at (574) 946-2166 or via email at ldoty@pmhnet.com, by 5pm Eastern Time on May 11th.
