Starke County Commissioners will be holding a meeting on Monday morning, April 20th.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:15am Central Time.
After vendor and payroll claims, and the approval of meeting minutes from April 6th, the commissioners will discuss a bid opening, the annual report, and a Culver purchase with the Highway Department.
Following this discussion, the meeting will move to the Starke County Courthouse for the presentation and display of a fiberglass bison that was delivered to the county in 2016, originally intended to be used as part of Indiana’s “Bison”-tennial project that year.
Earlier this month, the Commissioners declared 8-9:30am Central Time on the 20th to be celebrated as Starke County Day, so county employees could attend the dedication of the bison.
The email announcement stated that therefore, on April 20th, county government buildings will not be open to the public until 9:30am Central Time.
The Commissioner’s meeting will resume after the bison presentation with a report from EMS, as well as discussion on office space and an update from the Parks Department.
After any other business that may come before the board, the meeting will be adjourned.
The public is invited to attend this meeting, and the presentation of the “Bison”-tennial bison at the Starke County Courthouse.
