The Starke County Plan Commission has announced it will hold a public meeting this upcoming April 15th.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm and will be held at the Starke County Annex 1 Meeting Room, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
Under the Old Business section of the agenda, the Plan Commission will discuss three topics:
Commercial and Utility-Scale Solar Energy Systems, Commercial Battery Energy Storage Systems Prohibition, and a new schedule of fees.
In regards to the solar energy systems and battery storage systems, the board will be reviewing draft revisions and updates, with a possible consensus to approve the ordinance drafts for Public Hearings.
In regards to the new fee schedule, the Plan Commission will see a presentation of the updated fee schedule to replace the 2016 schedule, also with a review of a proposed increase across the board. This discussion will also possibly come to consensus and proceed to Public Hearing.
After a section of the meeting for public comment and comment from Plan Commission members, the meeting will be adjourned.
