The Starke County Public Library will be hosting its second annual Mini Comicon this weekend, and the community is invited.
The event will take place at the Knox Branch of SCPL, located at 152 West Culver Road.
The library has announced that its Hamlet and Koontz Lake branches will be closed during the event, which is scheduled from 10am – 2pm Central Time Saturday, April 25th.
There will be activities, games, and special guests during the event. There will also be a cosplay contest, with age groups for children 0-12, teens from 13-19, and adults 20 and older.
There will be photo opportunities with standees from multiple fandoms, as well as a Tribble Hunt throughout the library on the day of the event, and face painting on scene.
Craft opportunites will be offered, such as DIY resin bookmarks and a paint your own miniature figurine program.
Area authors will be on hand, as well as the South Shore Ghostbusters, a fan-based group in Northwest Indiana that focuses on spreading positivity through cosplay.
Fruit Goblin Cosplay will also be at the Mini Comicon this year, as will cosplayer Molly Silver.
Many other guests of honor and activities are planned throughout the day. The community is invited to attend the Mini Comicon 2 event this Saturday.
