America 250 celebrations to take place during Mint Festival

The North Judson Mint Festival has announced its partnership with Starke County: Celebrating USA 250th in order to celebration the nation’s 250th birthday this year.

Celebrations will take place at the North Judson Wayne Township Public Library this year on Saturday, June 20th, during the Mint Festival.

Festivities for the 250th celebration will begin at 10am Central Time and will kick off with a presentation on Weapons of the American Revolution.

There will be a presentation on Starke County’s Liberty Tree at 11, followed by a presentation of videos and local school projects by the Starke County Treasures Tour.

North Judson San Pierre and Knox School Choirs will both be performing patriotic music at Norwayne Field during the festivities as well.

Another presentation on Revolutionary War Weapons will take place at 1pm, and a presentation on John Stark, Starke County’s namesake, will begin at 2pm. At 3pm there will be Americana Discussions on Starke County.

These events are free to attend for all ages, and the community is invited to participate in the celebration.

These America 250 events are just some of many taking place in the area this year to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday.
