North Judson man arrested for Domestic Battery

A release from the Plymouth Police Department reports that on May 21st around 11:35pm, deputies responded to the Days Inn in Plymouth after a call reported a suspect trying to gain entry into a room.

Dispatch advised that a male subject could be heard in the background hitting and kicking at the door.

Upon the officer’s arrival, the suspect was not at the room. The suspect, identified as Brian M. Shepherd of North Judson, was located on the sidewalk in front of Christo’s Family Restaurant and was intoxicated.

Shepherd was detained. Upon questioning the occupants of the hotel room, it was learned that a battery had taken place. Shepherd was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged on the charges of Domestic Battery in the presence of a minor and Public Intoxication.

A reminder that suspects are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
