
The Starke County Health Department shared a public notice on Friday:
The notice states that local health departments are required by Indiana statutes to inform the public of the discovery of released regulated substances at an underground storage tank site or aboveground storage tank, in the surrounding area; or a spill or overfill.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) was notified on May 28th, 2026 that there was a confirmed release report of such an incident from the owner or operator of Rush Hour 9, located at 910 South Heaton Street in Knox, Indiana in Starke County.
