During discussion, commissioners talked about the organization’s needs and potential concerns with the county budget. Following discussion, a motion was made to provide Community Services with $70,000 in funding. The motion passed with one dissenting vote.
Community Services representatives invited county officials and residents to attend its by-donation Wednesday community lunch program, and tour the organization’s food pantry.
Correction: An earlier version of this article identified the community lunch program as ‘free’. However, it is by donation. The mistake was unintentional and has been corrected.
