Starke County Public Library sponsoring art showcase and contest

Local artists have an opportunity to take part in an art showcase and contest.

The contest is sponsored by the Starke County Public Library and the Starke County 4-H Fair.

Artists can enter works in the Art Showcase at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library’s Knox Branch, located at 152 West Culver Road in Knox.

Works may be drawings, oils, acrylics, or watercolors, and can be dropped off at the library beginning May 18th, through Saturday, May 30th.

Ballots will be available for patron voting during the showcase, and winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 3rd after the library’s Summer Reading Kick-off event.

There will be prizes awarded for Adult, Teen, and children, with two prizes per category.

Entrants are also then invited to send their artwork to the Open Class judging during this year’s 4-H Fair, which will take place on Saturday, June 20th.
