Kankakee Valley REMC has announced that its Junior Board of Directors program is now accepting applications.
The program is for students who will be high school juniors during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, and provides career exploration, leadership development, community engagement, and networking opportunities. Those who complete the program receive a $1,000 scholarship.
KV REMC will select up to 13 students to participate in the program, which runs from October through May. Junior Board members will meet monthly during the school day to take part in leadership and team-building activities, to meet with local business owners and community leaders, complete a community service project, and gain hands-on experience with local and state government.
Applications are due to KV REMC by August 14th, and can be found online here: https://www.kvremc.com/community/youth-programs/junior-board-of-directors/
