The City of La Porte shared an announcement yesterday in regards to road closures in the area.
The closures are due to the State’s Tipton Overpass Project, and the city stated that the following roads in La Porte were closed or planning closures:
- Pulaski Street from Brighton to Grove, which will remain closed through the end of the week
- Adams Street between Washington and State will be closed beginning today, through Wednesday, July 1st.
- State Street between Adams and Tipton will be closed beginning today, through Wednesday, July 1st.
- Grove Street between Tipton and Pulaski will also be closed beginning today and through July 1st.
- Finally, the railroad crossing at Boston street remains closed through the end of the week for maintenance by Norfolk Southern.
The city thanks residents for their patience with these inconvenient closures as subcontractors continue important work on this project.
