An announcement shared this week on social media by the Prairie Trails Club showcases upgrades it has made to the trails.
The announcement states that thanks to a grant from The Hive, a local women’s giving circle, the Prairie Trails Club has received and placed three portable restrooms along the trail.
There is now a portable restroom near The Sun Arch at Main Street in North Judson, one on the west side of County Road 100 West, and a third one on the west side of US Highway 35.
The three units are stocked with hand sanitizers, and will be serviced weekly for their time on the trail, which is until October 1st of this year.
The announcement ended by thanking the Starke County Community Foundation, Northern Indiana Community Foundation, and The Hive members for support of the project.
