Starke County Commissioners to meet June 15

The Starke County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting this upcoming Monday, June 15th.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30am Central Time, and will be held at 53 East Mound Street in Knox. The meeting will also be streamed live on YouTube.

After vendor and payroll claims, as well as the approval of meeting minutes from June 1st, Commissioners will receive monthly reports from EMS and the Economic Development Director.

A representative from Hope Restored Recovery Home will discuss opioid funding with the commissioners, and the Humane Society will discuss assistance.

A guest via Zoom will discuss fire access to Bass Lake.

The next three guests on the agenda are all discussing the same topic: Fire access at Shewski Road. Both proponents and opponents of the subject are on the agenda to speak.

The County Recorder will discuss Illinois sales tax with Commissioners, and the Highway Department will share updates on road improvement operations.

Commissioners will receive updates from the County Park Department, and will discuss an invoice from Busse Electric.

After any other business that may come before the board, the meeting will be adjourned.
