
The Starke County Convention and Visitors Commission will be holding a meeting this week.
The meeting is scheduled to take place this Thursday, June 11th at 5pm Central Time at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center, which is located at 55 East Lake Street in Knox.
After the meeting is called to order, newly appointed members to the board will take their oath of office.
There will be a section of the meeting set aside for public comments before board members vote on the approval of minutes, the adoption of the agenda, and perform a budget overview.
There will be a guest presentation by a representative of the North Judson Mint Festival, showing how Convention and Visitors Commission funds were used for a billboard, and highlights of the upcoming Mint Festival; The Mint Festival’s Junior Reporter will also be on hand to interview the board for the Mint Festival’s social media pages.
There will be a discussion of board bylaws before the meeting moves on to discuss the hiring of a Festival Photographer.
Commissioners will preview their advertisement in the Indiana Festival Guide, as well as discuss advertisement packages for the 2026/2027 Travel Indiana magazine.
After discussions on website management and social media accounts, the meeting will be adjourned.
