The Starke County Coroner’s Office shared statistics for the month of May with WKVI.
According to the information, shared Saturday, as of May 31st of this year, the Coroner’s Office has taken on a total of 37 cases in 2026 so far.
During the month of May, there were 7 calls: Two were ruled as Natural Causes, one was a drug overdose, and one was a motor vehicle accident.
At the time of the release of information, there were still 3 pending cases from May that have not yet been completed or categorized.
Other possible causes that could be listed for death include suicide, an accident or other, a homicide, or undetermined.
