The La Porte County Health Department will be offering free “Super Sitter” classes for those interested in basic child care skills.
The class is one session and topics include first aid and safety procedures, tips on starting a babysitting business, and age-appropriate and educational play and toys. There will also be a review of infant and child CPR, though this is only a review and is not a certification.
The class will take place at Franciscan Health Michigan City’s Homer Street Campus, located at 301 West Homer Street. The class will run on June 23rd, again on July 21st, and once more on October 15th.
