The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is reminding Starke County residents of a healthy mobile food distribution event that will be taking place this Friday, July 17th.
The event will take place at the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet, and is scheduled for 10am – 11:30am Central Time or until supplies last.
All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, and are distributed on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of one box per household.
The distribution is drive-through, which means participants should remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive food items. There will be an area available to self-load for those whose trunks don’t open.
This food distribution is sponsored by the Starke County Health Department and will provide fresh perishable items and dry goods for free of charge to 150 households in need of food.
