Reserved hunting opportunities through IDNR accepting applications for drawing

Hunters can now apply for multiple reserved hunting opportunities through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, with applications being accepted through Wednesday, July 29.

The current application period includes reserved dove hunts at participating Fish & Wildlife Areas, teal and early Canada goose hunts on Indiana Private Lands Access (IPLA) properties, youth deer hunts on IPLA properties, squirrel hunts at participating National Wildlife Refuges, and deer hunts at National Wildlife Refuges.

Applications must be submitted online through the Indiana DNR’s reserved hunt system. Late applications will not be accepted, and hunters must possess a valid hunting license for the hunt they are applying to enter. Hunters selected through the computerized drawing will be notified after the drawings have been completed, and will also be able to view their results online.

The reserved hunt program provides limited hunting opportunities at select public properties and participating private lands throughout Indiana where access is managed through a random drawing.

A complete list of participating properties and available hunts is available through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ reserved hunt webpage. Applications may be submitted through GoOutdoorsIN.com.
