
The Starke County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting this upcoming Monday, July 6th. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5pm Central Time, and will be held at the Starke County Annex building at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
The meeting will begin with the approval of vendor claims, payroll claims, and the minutes from the commissioners’ June 15 meeting.
Commissioners will discuss fire access with multiple officials, followed by a discussion on air conditioning and heating at the county highway garage. The Highway Superintendent will also discuss take-home vehicles with commissioners.
Representatives from the Humane Society are scheduled to present a funding request to the commissioners, followed by a discussion on insurance programs available for county employees with a representative from Globe Life Insurance.
A discussion will be held regarding a road easement in Oregon Township, and the commissioners are expected to consider a SCILL contract during the meeting.
Office space needs for Information Technology will be discussed, as well as a right-of-way on Boa Drive.
Commissioners will have a discussion regarding towing, and after any other business that may come before the board, the meeting will be adjourned.
