CULVER — The Culver Town Council unanimously passed a resolution at their regular meeting on Thursday night to pursue a Community Crossings Matching Grant for paving in the town starting in the fall.
Culver Town Manager Kevin Dante stated: “The total, I believe, is $440,090 worth of paving to do. … The contribution within the resolution would be that they’ve lowered it this year to a 20% match for communities under 10,000. … So we’re looking at $88,018 would be our 20% of that for matching.”
Dante stated that the town needs around $440,000 worth of paving work, and 20% of that would be around $88,000.
The resolution also allows Street Superintendent Bob Porter to negotiate with INDOT on behalf of the town for the grant.
