Two candidates have entered Pulaski County races for the November election following the deadline to fill ballot vacancies.
According to Pulaski County officials, Kathleen “Kathi” Thompson filed as an independent candidate for Pulaski County Commissioner District 3. She will face Republican candidate Ed Shank in the November election, for the seat currently held by Mike McClure.
Doug Denton has also filed as the Democratic candidate for Pulaski County Council District 3. He will face Republican candidate Gail Lambert for the seat currently held by Ken Boswell.
The deadline for political parties and eligible candidates to fill ballot vacancies expired at noon local time Monday.
Pulaski County Election officials shared that a complete list of candidates for the November election, including school board candidates, is expected to be released later this week.
It was also noted that the Indiana Election Division has advised county election administrators that some state offices have not yet been updated on the state’s candidate website due to multiple statewide recounts that are currently ongoing.
