West Central Schools has announced registration dates and other important information as the community prepares for the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the school district, West Central’s classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, Aug. 12th.
Registration for both West Central Elementary School and West Central Middle/Senior High School will be held Thursday, July 30th, from 8am to 3pm Eastern Time and Friday, July 31st, from 1pm to 7pm Eastern Time.
School officials said new students should plan to register in person. Parents and guardians with an email address already on file with the district are expected to receive instructions during the week of July 27th for completing registration through Harmony. District staff will be available during registration to assist families with questions.
Officials stated that registering students helps ensure schools are prepared with materials and supplies before the first day of classes. Families will also be able to obtain free and reduced-price meal applications during registration if needed.
The district said it will not assess required curricular textbook fees for the 2026-2027 school year. However, parents may still be responsible for optional certification or credential exam fees associated with certain courses. Any outstanding charges from previous school years will also remain due.
West Central Schools will host Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 10th, from 6pm to 7pm Eastern Time. Families will have an opportunity to drop off school supplies, meet teachers and welcome new West Central Elementary Principal Kristie Baer and new Assistant Principal Mollie Mosier.
School officials said summer construction projects are nearing completion. While roofing work is expected to continue for several more weeks, other construction work is nearly finished in preparation for the start of the school year.
Additional registration information, school supply lists and other back-to-school resources are available on the West Central Schools website.
