The Francesville Volunteer Fire Department reports that it received a total of $5,000 in contributions during its recent monthly meeting.
According to information shared about its regular monthly meeting, the Department was presented with a $1,000 check from Alliance Bank Indiana.
The Gutwein Agency and Auto-Owners Insurance also each contributed a $2,000 matching grant, for a combined contribution of $4,000.
The Francesville Volunteer Fire Department thanked the businesses for their support and said contributions from local businesses and community members help the department continue providing services to the community.
Following the presentations, department members conducted training on grain drying systems and challenges those systems can present during emergency situations.
The department said the training provided an opportunity to review and prepare for those situations as the agricultural community approaches harvest season.
