The Knox City Council voted Tuesday to move forward with the sale of approximately five buildable city-owned lots in the Parkview neighborhood.
During the meeting, city officials said multiple contractors have expressed interest in purchasing the lots to build new homes. Council members discussed the city’s options for selling the properties, including the possibility of combining some undersized lots to create buildable parcels.
Officials also noted that the properties will be sold through the required public process rather than through direct sales.
Following discussion, the council approved moving forward with the sale process for approximately five buildable lots.
