The Knox Athletics Department has shared an announcement letting community members know that 2026-2027 is its Hall of Fame year.
The announcement states that over the next few months, a committee will be reviewing all submitted nominations to the Knox High School Athletics Hall of Fame. Nominees can be former athletes, coaches, contributors, or community members.
Guidelines state that athletes may not be considered for the Hall of Fame until at least 10 years after graduation from Knox High School.
Coach nominees need at least 5 years of service at Knox High School for the Hall of Fame.
To be considered for the Hall of Fame, an individual must be nominated; no automatic selections will be made.
Nomination forms can be found online here and should be returned to the Knox High School’s Athletics Department.
The Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, February 20th, 2027 immediately following Knox’s JV Boys Basketball Game against Trinity Academy. The game will begin at 5pm Central Time that evening.
The announcement ends by stating the athletics department looks forward to celebrating the individuals who have made a lasting impact on Knox High School athletics.
