North Judson lost water this morning; it has been restored

The town of North Judson was without water for a period of time this morning, but it has now been restored.

According to an announcement made by the Town of North Judson around 5:30am Central Time today, Monday, August 17th, the town water had to be shut off temporarily due to a broken fire hydrant.

The original announcement stated that crews were already working on fixing the problem as quickly as possible.

Additionally, due to no water, NJSP schools cancelled school for the day with no e-Learning scheduled.

A bit over 2 hours later, or around 7:45am Central Time, the Town of North Judson issued a second announcement, stating that water has been restored.

The announcement shares that water pressure may remain low for a time while the water towers are filling, and that due to the loss of water pressure, resident should boil water before consuming.

The town says the boil water advisory will remain in effect until water testing has confirmed it is safe for consumption again; which the town stated is expected to happen this Friday, August 21st.

The town will share when the boil advisory is no longer in effect.

The announcement ended with the town thanking the Town Manager and utility workers for getting the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
