Porter-Starke Services has shared updates with WKVI regarding its hours and available services in the wake of power outages and storm damage from this week.
According to officials, power has been restored to the Porter-Starke Services Valparaiso Office (601 Wall St) and Portage Office (3176 Lancer St) and both will be open today, August 14, 2026.
The Porter-Starke Services Recovery Center La Porte office (1230 W. State Road 2, Suite B) will remain closed for today, Friday, August 14, 2026. Clients of Recovery Center La Porte may go to Recovery Center Valparaiso.
While the Porter-Starke Services Valparaiso Offices at 601 Wall St and 701 Wall St, Knox Office, Portage Office, Recovery Center Valparaiso, Crisis Center, and Inpatient Care Center are open today, phone service remains disrupted.
Phone calls, including for emergency services, are still accessible by calling their Knox Office at 574.772.4040 or Portage Office at 219.762.9557.
Additionally, The Marram Health Center Gary Office will remain closed for today, Friday, August 14, 2026. Power has been restored to the Marram Health Center Portage Office and it will be open on Monday, August 17, 2026.
While the Marram Health Center Hebron Office and Valparaiso Office are open, phone service remains disrupted. Phone calls, including for emergency services, are still accessible by calling our Marram Health Center Hebron Office at 219.996.2641.
