The Starke County Commissioners and Starke County Council have announced a joint executive session, followed by a Commissioners-only executive session, followed by a special Commissioner’s meeting.
The meetings will take place Friday, August 7th at the Annex 1 Meeting Room, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox. The joint executive session is scheduled to begin at 8am Central Time.
In accordance with Indiana laws, it has been shared that the topic of discussion during this session will be strategy with respect to the implementation of security systems. After that discussion and any other business that may pertain to an executive session, the joint session will be adjourned.
Immediately following the joint executive session, County Commissioners will meet in their own executive session.
In accordance with Indiana laws, it has been shared that during this meeting, commissioners will have a discussion to receive information concerning an individual’s alleged misconduct, with respect to any individual over whom the governing body has jurisdiction.
Commissioners are also expected to have communications with an attorney that are subject to the attorney-client privilege.
After any other business that may pertain to an executive session, the meeting will be adjourned.
Executive sessions are not open to the public.
Immediately following both executive sessions, the Starke County Commissioners will meet to discuss an EMA vehicle. After that discussion and any other business that may come before the board, that special meeting will be adjourned.
