LAPAZ — On Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at 6:47 am, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two-vehicle accident at the off-ramp from US 31 to US 6 eastbound.
When a Marshall County Officer arrived on scene, it was learned that a 2022 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Stephen Gasper, 63, of Bargersville, had run into the rear of a 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by Joanna Garcia, 57, of North Judson, while exiting the ramp.
Garcia had complaints of neck pain and was transported to the Hospital to receive additional care for her complaints of neck pain.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by LaPaz EMS as well as the Indiana State Police.
