Bowen Health and The Cornerstone Cafe will host a Knox Community Fuel Up event this Friday, October 2nd, in order to help connect families with local resources.
The event will take place from 7am to 9am Central Time at MBS Fitness in Knox, located at 21 North Main Street. Attendees can stop by anytime during the two-hour event and receive a free coffee from Fluid Coffee in Valparaiso while learning about services available to families in the community.
Bowen Health Starke County Director of Community Engagement Joni Hayden said multiple local organizations will be on hand, including Bella Vita, Geminus, and Head Start.
Hayden said Bowen Health does not have a brick-and-mortar location in Knox, but has provided skill-building services in Starke County for a few years. Those services can assist individuals facing barriers involving appointments, medications, or behavioral issues, with staff providing assistance in homes, schools, and other community settings.
Hayden said Bowen Health can also help Starke County residents get to medical appointments if needed.
The community is invited to this event Friday for local resources and free coffee to start the day.
