Pulaski County residents and others with connections to the county still have an opportunity to provide input as the county works to update its comprehensive plan.
Pulaski County stated that it has begun the update process with support and guidance from HWC Engineering. County officials said the community survey is one of the first steps in the process and that it will remain open through November.
According to the survey, the comprehensive plan will establish a long-term vision for Pulaski County and provide guidance for future decisions such as those related to land use, housing, transportation, economic development, agriculture, quality of life, and other community priorities.
The survey asks participants what they value about Pulaski County, what they would like to see improved or changed, and what opportunities they believe should receive more attention. It also asks for input on quality of life, economic development, housing, infrastructure and utilities, agriculture, and rural land use.
The survey is open to residents, property owners, business owners, and others with a connection to Pulaski County and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Survey results will be considered along with input from community workshops, stakeholder discussions, and other engagement activities as recommendations for the comprehensive plan are developed.
County officials said information regarding public workshops planned for mid- to late October will be announced soon. The county has also said the data-collection process will include steering committee meetings, topic-specific focus group sessions, and public open houses.
