The Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30pm Central Time, or immediately following the Starke County Plan Commission meeting.
Two petitions are listed under new business.
A previous version of the agenda was shared and reported on in August; however, the BZA shared a corrected version this week and stated that the correct version was published within The Leader.
In the corrected agenda, the first petition the BZA will consider is a request for a variance of use standards, in order to keep an existing upper level of a garage as living quarters. This request is out of Walkerton.
The rest of the agenda remains unchanged, including the second petition with a request for a waiver of the BZA filing fee due to administrative error; and a request for a variance to construct a second story on a currently non-conforming garage due to setback requirements. This request is out of Knox.
Members of the public will have an opportunity to be heard at this meeting. Written statements may also be submitted up to four hours before the hearing for inclusion in the official record.
The public is invited to attend this meeting, which will be held at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
