Yesterday, WKVI shared information regarding a vehicle crash that took place in La Porte County that resulted in a fatality.
The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office has released an update on the accident, stating that another individual involved in the crash has died.
The original story shared that the accident occurred on Friday, September 25th on State Road 2, and involved a Kia operated by 60-year-old Ronald O. Nuest of Medaryville and a Ford being operated by 36-year-old Kayla M. Roche of La Porte.
The original report states that a witness observed the Kia traveling left of center lane and colliding head-on with the Ford.
Roche, the driver of the Ford, was transported to a regional hospital but passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
New information shared indicates that a passenger in the Kia, 88-year-old Elvin L. Nuest of Francesville, has now also died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
The release states that the investigation remains open and ongoing.
