
Hoosiers who want to vote in the November General Election are reminded that the voter registration deadline is approaching.
The deadline to register to vote or update an existing voter registration is less than a week away: Monday, October 5th.
Online registrations may be submitted through the state’s voter portal (https://indianavoters.in.gov/) through 11:59pm that day, while mailed registration applications must be postmarked by October 5th.
Voters can also use the state voter portal to check their current registration status and polling location.
Early in-person voting begins Tuesday, October 6th. In Starke County, early voting will be available at the Starke County Courthouse in Knox, while Pulaski County voters may cast early ballots at the Pulaski County Courthouse in Winamac. Additional early voting opportunities will be available later in October.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is October 22nd. The final day for in-person absentee voting is Monday, November 2nd at noon, with Election Day set for Tuesday, November 3rd.
A ‘Meet the Candidates’ night is being organized for candidates in Starke County, scheduled to be held Tuesday, October 13th at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center at 55 East Lake Street in Knox. Doors will open at 5pm Central Time, with the program beginning at 6pm.
