The American Red Cross Indiana Region is asking citizens to consider donating blood before the holiday rush ramps up.
To thank those who donate blood or platelets, all Indiana donors between now and November 22nd will receive up to $20 in gift cards, in the form of a $10 Amazon Gift Card via e-mail, plus 500 bonus points which can be redeemed for a $10 e-gift card through Blood Donor Rewards.
American Red Cross Indiana is also offering free A1C testing for all successful donors in the month of November. A1C testing is commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. This is limited to one result per calendar year and donors are asked to not fast before donating.
Some upcoming blood drives include:
- Friday, October 30th at the North Judson-San Pierre Middle School
- Monday, November 16th at the Knox Community Center
- Thursday, November 19th at the United Methodist Church
- Tuesday, December 29th at the Knox Community Center
- Wednesday, December 30th at the Culver-Union Township Public Library
