La Porte County One-Stop Shop to offer FEMA assistance

A FEMA and Indiana 211 One-Stop Shop will open in La Porte County next week to provide assistance to residents affected by the August disaster.

Representatives at the One-Stop Shop will provide in-person assistance, answer questions, and help homeowners and renters apply for FEMA’s Individual Assistance program. Services will be provided at no cost to survivors.

Indiana 211 will also be available to provide guidance on disaster resources, including transportation services.

The One-Stop Shop will be open Friday, October 9th from 9am to 6pm Central Time and Saturday, October 10th from 9am to 4pm Central Time.

The event will take place at the La Porte County Fairgrounds Community Building, located at 2581 West State Road 2 in La Porte.
