Pulaski County officials to discuss opioid settlement funding, 2027 budget Monday

The Pulaski County Commissioners and County Council will meet in a joint session Monday, October 12th, followed by a regular County Council meeting that will include discussion and possible adoption of the 2027 budget.

During the joint session, a representative from the Drug Free Council is scheduled to discuss an opioid settlement funds grant. Officials will also consider approving minutes from multiple previous joint meetings.

The Pulaski County Council will then meet to discuss and consider adoption of the county’s 2027 budget.

Other items on the council’s agenda include a discussion of the Van Buren Township budget, a tile request presented by the County Surveyor, and a commissary report and transfer request from Sheriff Chris Schramm.

Council members will also consider several departmental budget transfers, a revised salary and wage ordinance, and additional appropriations.

Among the advertised additional appropriations are two requests of $131,945 each for Emergency Medical Services, one from the Local Income Tax Public Safety Fund and another from the Economic Development Solar Fund.

The joint session will begin at 5pm Eastern Time, followed by the County Council meeting at 6pm. Both meetings will take place at the Pulaski County Courthouse and will be livestreamed on YouTube.

Both meetings are open to the public.
