Starke County Humane Society joins TREAT App

The Starke County Humane Society has joined the TREAT app, giving supporters a new way to provide food, treats, and other supplies for dogs at the shelter.

TREAT is a mobile game that connects players with real dogs at participating animal shelters. Users select a shelter dog and play with a virtual version of that dog to earn real-world items for the shelter. According to TREAT, earned items can include treats, meals, and medical supplies, which are shipped to participating shelters through Chewy.

Players can also receive updates when the shelter dog they selected is adopted.

The Starke County Humane Society recently announced that its dogs are now participating in the program and is encouraging supporters to use the shelter’s provided TREAT link to get started. The link is here: https://treatva.onelink.me/rVix/IN92

Those who already have the TREAT app may need to sign out, delete the app, and access it again using the Humane Society’s provided link in order to select the Starke County Humane Society. The shelter says users may also need to clear their cache.

Anyone who continues to experience problems is encouraged to contact the Starke County Humane Society for assistance.
