The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation is making some lighting upgrades with proceeds from its recent bond refinancing. Last week, the school board approved bids for three lighting projects totaling just over $166,000. Continue reading

The Culver Community Schools Corporation will save some money on insurance, thanks to an offer from a statewide insurance cooperative. Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell told the school board Monday the Educational Service Centers Risk Funding Trust (ESCRFT) recently approached the corporation about providing general liability insurance. The Monterey School Building has been purchased by a pair of local business owners. Lawrence and Diana Loehmer submitted the high bid of $60,000 for the former school and the surrounding property. Their bid was formally accepted Monday by the Culver School Board. Continue reading
