Beatrice Henriott, age 95, of Knox, passed away April 1, 2022. She was born at Wakarusa, Indiana on May 15, 1926, the oldest of four children born to Floyd and Mary Pearl Lehman. She has one living sister, Connie Wilson of Millersburg, Indiana and two of her siblings; Wallace and Shirley, died in their infancy.
Bea graduated from Wakarusa High School in 1944 and Manchester College in 1948 She taught art at Mary Phillip and Batell elementary schools in Mishawaka for 8 years. On July 4, 1956 she married James Henriott in Hamburg, Germany. Together they have three children, Jay Henriott, Jill Harvey and Ann Nicoson. Jay and his wife, Rosie, live in Jasper, Indiana, Jill and her husband, Steve, live in Banner Elk, North Carolina, and Ann and her husband, Kevin, live in Lafayette, Indiana. There are also 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Beatrice also taught art at Liberty Middle School in North Judson, Indiana and she taught art at North White High School in Monon, Indiana.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 4-6pm (CDT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 9:30am (CDT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Olive Cemetery West in Wakarusa, Indiana at a later time.
