Bobby Joe Edwards, age 75, of North Judson, died peacefully on November 26, 2021 surrounded by family in his home.
Bob was born on June 21, 1946 in Dawson Springs, KY to Luther and Elmer Edwards. He graduated from Dawson Springs High School in 1963. He worked for 55 years as a steel worker. He was a proud member of Local 6787 Burns Harbor. Bob was presently employed by Cleveland Cliffs Burns Harbor in the 160” Slab Yard. He was an avid hunter and loved deer season. He also enjoyed watching college basketball.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janet Edwards of North Judson. Sons, Joe Edwards (Nancy) and Jeff Edwards (Charity) both of Walkerton, IN and Phillip Edwards of North Judson, IN, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, his brother, Russell Edwards (Diane) and sister, Kathy Todd, both of Dawson Springs, KY, and Linda Killough (Greg) of Columbus, OH. Also, many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Elmer Edwards, his son, Jarrod R. Snyder Edwards, a brother, James Ray Edwards, and sisters, Betty Prow, Iva Ison, and Mary McKinney.
A funeral service will take place Monday, November 29, 2021 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery.
